About Me

Welcome! Akwaaba! My journey to becoming a therapist started from a desire to be a helper and healer. It has always been a privilege to sit and hear others’ stories, and hold a space for them to share their hearts and souls. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (Salem College, NC, 2011) and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (Seton Hill University, PA, 2013). I made Washington my home in 2013 and hold a License (LF60607100) with the state. I am an immigrant from Ghana and have a bicultural experience that my immigrant clients especially have found valuable.

I am a wife and mother with a passion for social justice issues. When I am not working, I love to travel and cook new recipes.
